As a modern media company, Seven Six engages in every aspect of the ever-changing music industry from audio assets and visual media to live performance and promotion. Here at Seven Six, we harness all areas of promotion and outreach necessary to assist our artists in reaching their fullest potential.
An artist signed to Seven Six has access to world class studios, produced by the best student sound engineers and consultation from industry experts. Our premier promotion and publications team focuses on boosting the artist’s overall presence on social media and streaming platforms. To complement our artists’ growth, Seven Six sponsors live events and fosters connections with local venues and artists. In addition to helping our artists, Seven Six prides itself in giving back to our community and offering opportunities to learn about the industry and work within Seven Six.
The students here at the University of Massachusetts Lowell are the foundation of this company and Seven Six has the ultimate goal of offering them a realistic experience in the music industry while they pursue their degree. Every department of the company is led by student employees who gain experience to enhance their post graduate careers.
Seven Six – Records
Seven Six Studios gives students here at UMass Lowell the opportunity to record student artists in a realistic studio setting. This branch offers our Sound Recording and Performance students real-world experience in their musical careers post-graduation.
Modern studios need to offer an artist the best studio recording experience, and here at Seven Six we do just that. Our artists will work in world-class studios with timeless audio equipment that will make their songs come to life. Seven Six Studios also utilizes the school’s amazing student talent by offering their services as session musicians, as well as audio engineers from the university’s premier recording program to mix and master the song.
Seven Six – Studios
Seven Six Records is the business side of our organization, and focuses on giving students insight into how a record label works, providing real record label positions and career experience as college students. Seven Six Records looks for serious artists who are ready to take their music to a professional level, growing their audiences and preparing them for their careers after college.
The job of a record label is to promote and boost an artist’s following to increase their streams and social media followers. Here at Seven Six, our student staff recruits new talent and works side by side with them to build advertising campaigns and utilize outreach strategies to achieve these goals. This branch of Seven Six includes an artist and relations team to bring in talent, a social media and publications team to create social media posts and promotional documents, and an art team with graphic designers and photographers to create visual media that represents the artist and the label.
Seven Six – Live
Seven Six Live brings new live events and experiences to students here at UML. This branch allows students to showcase their music in professional venues, building up engagement for the performers and our organization. Students working for this branch will gain experience planning shows, working with promoters, and making meaningful connections that will help them in their future careers.
Live events are an important part of a student’s social life on campus and Seven Six Live builds events to cater to that need. Our partnerships with venues and local talent allow us to showcase our own artists and give students access to live music. Seven Six Live provides the setting and the equipment for our artists to reach their newly grown followings in a live setting. We are a full-service plug and play team.
Seven Six – Foundations
Seven Six foundations is the charitable branch of Seven Six. Our mission is to give back to our local Lowell community through outreach programs and classes. Seven Six Foundations believes that in order to learn, we need to teach, and our members are dedicated to giving their knowledge to young students looking to learn more about the industry.
Here at Seven Six we understand that in order for us to grow we must also foster growth in the community around us. By offering classes focused on music business and songwriting, young musicians in the greater Lowell area will be inspired to make music a career. The students involved in the foundations branch are excited to teach these courses and pass on the knowledge they have learned from working here at Seven Six to a new generation of future stars.
